Jeannie Lones-Shultz

I decided to start a blog to help me remember my quilting projects and share with family and a few friends who might be interested.  I have finished 4 quilts so far this year and am working on my 5th.  I enjoy giving them away as a useable creative gift.  Here are pictures of the 4 finished quilts:

The butterfly quilt was made for Nate and Brianna's second baby due late June.  The second quilt pictured was made for Addie and is aptly called Busy Bee which fits Addie to a tee.  The third quilt is one that I started about 5 years ago and quit working on until this year.  It is a 9 patch snowball design and was a great birthday present for a friend.  The last one pictured is called Kissy Fishy and it was made for Cassie.  She likes a more modern quilt (so do I!).  I have learned how to use the Handi Quilter (long arm CNC Quilter) at the Chandler Tech Shop.  So as a member I get to use their very expensive quilt to do my own quilting on these!  I love using the machine and it has been really fun to learn.

I am now making a Star Wars themed quilt for Cadiem it is a full size and it going together very quick!  I have fabric picked out for several other people.  Oh and I forgot to tell about my new sewing machine.  So far I haven't learned all the features of this special Quilting Sewing machine but it is fun too!

I am hoping some other friends will get interested in quilting.  Mom quilts but likes to do most of hers by hand.  She quilts with me in the evenings.  I will post a picture of her latest finished project  later.
